The Route 54 Off-Season Week Runs the Same Deals Twice

Near the Route 54 bridge this fall, crab cake night happens twice a week. Catch 54 does its $28 crab cake on Tuesday. Matt's Fish Camp Fenwick Island does its $28 crab cake on Thursday. The $21 fishboard works the same way: Monday at one, Wednesday at the other.

That staggered schedule is the real shape of the off-season for anyone living off Route 54 in Bayville Shores, Fenwick Island or West Fenwick. The off-season specials grid on Local Cuisine, last updated September 22, 2026, lays the restaurants out side by side. Read that way, the waterfront corner near the bridge has a different deal anchoring almost every weeknight from now into spring. Saturday is the one night left with nothing listed.

Three Shared Deals, Offset by a Day

Catch 54 sits, in its own words, "just over the bridge on Route 54," with an upstairs bar and deck overlooking the bay. Matt's Fish Camp Fenwick serves seafood on Coastal Highway. Their off-season lists use the same building blocks: a $21 fishboard, a $28 crab cake, 25% off the check, and half-price wine bottles.

Deal Catch 54 Matt's Fish Camp Fenwick
$21 Fishboard Monday Wednesday
$28 Crab Cake Tuesday Thursday
25% Off the Check Thursday Tuesday
Half-Off Wine Bottles Friday, with filet pairings Friday
Sunday feature Chicken Parm Night $22 Lobster Rolls
Other None listed Wednesday $12 Burger Night Monday

Since the deals land on different nights, the crab cake, the fishboard and 25% off each come up twice between Monday and Thursday. Friday is the only night the two match, with half-off wine at both. A household that likes the fishboard can have it Monday on the bay at Catch 54 and again Wednesday at Matt's without waiting a week.

The grid comes with a caveat at the top: specials can change without notice, so check each restaurant's own site before heading out. Catch 54 also doesn't post off-season hours on its homepage, and it describes its daily happy hour at both bars as a summer offer. Don't assume the bay-view happy hour continues through winter.

Catch 54 is part of SoDel Concepts, which runs a company-wide "Second Season" weekly specials program at all of its restaurants from September 8, 2026, through May 29, 2027. That end date shows how long Catch 54's side of the rotation is scheduled to last, right up to the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

FINS and The Station Fill the Rest of the Week

Two more places in the area fill in the nights the seafood houses leave open, and their schedules fit around the Catch 54 and Matt's pattern.

FINS Ale House & Raw Bar West Fenwick, at 37234 Lighthouse Road in Selbyville, has posted its own weekly events running from October 12 into late April:

  • Monday: Rice Bowl Monday, $18 bowls with selections that change weekly
  • Tuesday: Lobster Night, a $25 whole lobster dinner plus rotating lobster specials
  • Wednesday: Oyster Night, $1 raw oysters plus other discounted oyster specials

All three run 3 to 8:30 p.m. On the Local Cuisine grid, FINS West Fenwick also lists Sunday fish board night, Thursday pasta night and a Friday $15 lunch combo. Its posted hours are 3 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Sunday, and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with happy hour every day from opening until 6 p.m.

Wednesday is the one night Catch 54 lists no special, and that's the night FINS does $1 oysters. Tuesday is the most crowded night on the grid. Catch 54's crab cake, 25% off at Matt's and whole lobster at FINS all fall on the same evening.

The Station in Fenwick Island covers the hours the seafood houses don't. Its current hours are 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, brunch only from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, and closed Monday.

Its off-season list:

  • Sunday: brunch happy hour
  • Tuesday: $20 Turkey Tuesday, plus an early-bird deal of 50% off a second entrée
  • Wednesday: $1 wing night, plus the same early-bird deal
  • Thursday: steak night and $15 lunch specials
  • Friday: $15 lunch specials and the early-bird entrée deal

The Pantry at The Station has the morning version: a $1 small drip coffee and an all-day buy-one-get-one pastry on Monday, half off a second coffee on Wednesday, a $20 Turkey Thursday, a $10 breakfast sandwich with small drip or cold brew on Friday, a $14 sweet box on Sunday, and $16 boxed lunches. The Pantry's own page gives two different sets of hours, so check before an early run.

Harpoon Hanna's Runs the Bar Nights

The restaurant specials explain where dinner is cheapest. Harpoon Hanna's, at 39064 Harpoon Road, explains where the evening goes after that. The restaurant says it is open 365 days a year. Lunch starts at 11 a.m., dinner at 3 p.m., Sunday brunch at 10 a.m., and the bar is open 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Its October 2026 calendar puts recurring events on the two nights that are already the busiest for food specials. Trivia Night starts Mondays at 6 p.m., with sign-in at 5:30, prizes and specials, and it's open to all ages. Bar Bingo runs Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. in the bar with DJ Rupe. It's free to play, comes with food and drink specials, and is for ages 21 and up. Happy hour is Monday through Friday, 3 to 6 p.m., excluding holidays.

Put it all together and Monday on the Route 54 corner can mean a fishboard at Catch 54, a rice bowl at FINS or a $12 burger at Matt's, then trivia at Harpoon Hanna's. Tuesday can be a whole lobster at FINS and bingo afterward.

Saturdays Go to the Calendar

Nobody on the Local Cuisine grid lists a Saturday special for Catch 54, Matt's, FINS West Fenwick or The Station. This fall, the dated events tend to fill that night instead.

The biggest one is Catch 54's European Wine Dinner on Saturday, November 14, 2026. It runs 6 to 8:30 p.m. and costs $114 per person including gratuity. The five courses are paired with wines from Germany, Italy, France and Hungary, led by Gregg Bechtel of Artisan's Cellar. SoDel lists the menu as "coming soon." The restaurant has a long run of recognition behind its wine list: the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence every year from 2017 through 2025.

Halloween in the Woods is the Fenwick Island event closest to home. It's held at the Faucett Okie Family Nature Preserve, which the town opened to the public in June 2025, dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The preserve has a shaded woodland trail and a rain garden. For the October 30 evening, the town asks families to come in costume, bring a flashlight for the trail, and bring a carved pumpkin for the jack-o'-lantern contest, which has a prize. If the weather turns bad, the event moves indoors to Town Hall.

The Selbyville Christmas Parade date comes from the Selbyville Community Club calendar. The town's own parade page still describes the canceled 2025 event and says the next parade is expected Friday, December 4, 2026.

What Stays Closed, and What Hasn't Been Scheduled Yet

Thunder Lagoon Waterpark is closed for the season and plans to return in summer 2027. Viking Golf, the go-karts and food at the same complex stay open into the fall, though Fenwick Fun asks visitors to call ahead for exact dates and hours.

One bayside holiday tradition doesn't have a 2026 date yet. In 2025, Harpoon Hanna's held its 3rd Annual Christmas Boat Parade on Saturday, December 6, from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a viewing party at the restaurant until 8. Registration was free and open to decorated boats of all types, and ramp and trailer parking were available, according to Delaware Beaches Online. The restaurant's event pages still show the 2025 parade, and no 2026 announcement has been posted.

The weekly specials, on the other hand, are already scheduled. FINS has its Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights posted through late April, and SoDel's Second Season runs through May 29, 2027. That leaves about seven months of $1 oysters on Wednesdays, two crab cake nights a week, and a fishboard waiting at the foot of the bridge.
